Remembering Cora Paige -

Today my heart is in pain.  The little girl to the left of my blog Cora Paige, that I have been praying for has gone to be with Jesus today.  I have no words, just tears.......

Your Gift -TuTu Bliss!

I wanted to find something fitting for you and your family.  I thought about going with something the whole family could enjoy, like a family board game of some kind.  I thought about it a little more and thought "you know, I want to give something to her and for her "MANgerie."  So here is the deal..... I know you take plenty of pictures of the offspring, what parent doesn't. So this frame is for you and your hubby to take a picture of the two of your and frame it.  You are still a couple, and often couples can forget that when you are so consumed with parenting.  So I thought I give you something that would make a little fun project for you and MANgerie, not to be mistaken with 'menagerie'.

A little side gift with that is a scented candle, of lavender and vanilla.  I love lavender and Mark loves vanilla.  and thought I send a little something for you to enjoy that lets you get to also know a little bit more about your bloggy friend - MUAH! I hope you enjoy it.  Please email me your mailing address and congratulations for being the first winner on my first little give-a-way play.

If you are new and confused ..... please see post before this and then come back often to see when the next little play along will be.  To better keep up, to the left of my blog, click on the "FOLLOW ME" link,  this way you will never have to miss out again.

Its a Giant Anteater -

Okay folks Jennifer "JustBeeKoz" and Tim "Fort Thompson" where super close, BUT the one person that got it totally right is Blogger "TutuBliss".  Congratulations friend!  Yes, a Giant Anteater.  I didn't realize there were two different anteaters, but apparently there are (is?), for they had them at the Palm Beach Zoo.  However, what I found really fascinating are the designs on one of their legs.

I was told that this is to confuse their predators, so that they go after their feet thinking its their head, instead of attacking their real heads.  Isn't that crazy?  Not only that, I slightly cropped the image to have you focus on the leg in the image, so you could see how it appears to be a face of some animal.  I love that.

Here is another image I got online, the next two below that are the original image I took at the zoo and then the cropped one I had in the post.

Okay.... so I said I had a surprise for you..... I wanted to wait to see who would win so I could fit the prize toward that person.  I have an idea for you so give me a couple of days and I will be in touch with you.  Thanks for playing and by the way I love TutuBliss' blog.  Please head over and say hi and check her out.  Great job girl!

PS:  I had a great time photographing the Father-Daughter School Dance tonight.  It was a challenge for me, my hand cramped like you wouldn't believe and I actually found myself starting to get tears in my eyes when they played the slow songs for the dads and daughters to dance to.  To see the daddy's holding their daughters and the daughters hugging, laughing or laying their heads on their daddy's shoulder..... too sweet for words.  And to know that Mark and Morgan will be doing this all too soon. That is why we must cherish every moment.

Well, I am tired and I have a photoshoot tomorrow, on floats in the freezing cold tomorrow, in another freezing pool, for Frontage (again)...... but what is God probably saying to me again????......

"But someone has to do it, Misty!" -God

Yes, God, I know.... And I am very thankful for this career, job and new day.

Good Night Everyone!!

Oh one more thing..... the two babies to the top left of my blog had surgeries and both seem to be do well.  However, on Cora's blog, I read that another family had a 14-year old that also had the same surgery today, and he did not make it.  It breaks my heart deeply, please pray for these babies and this family that just lost a child at 14 years old today.  I can't even imagine that kind of heartache.

God Bless.

Update from todays earlier post:

THANK YOU ALL.... you ravilalisous prayer worriers!!! You guys rock!  Yea, that's a Misty word!

1.  Mark says that he believes the meeting went well.  He and the gentleman will remain in communication and hopefully build up a relationship and something great will come out of it.  It already did the way I see it.  For starters, I think its great this guy who came from New York took time out of his day to meet with Mark.  Thankful for the gentleman that believes in what Mark does, and made the meeting possible, while also attending the meeting between the two for introduction and ice breaker. And while letting this just be a reminder that there are people like this guy out there that Mark needs to meet and have doors open up for him and one day on GODS time it will ALL HAPPEN!  So thank you for the prayers today. I will keep you posted with any updates.

2.  I am going to photograph for the school Father-Daughter Dance tomorrow.  I am very excited about this and am looking forward to it.  Wish me luck!!! Its just me and my camera going, so i will do my best with the light I am provided. Also, thank you all that have written in with different suggestions and helpful tips. I am surely going to look into the flash, now to figure out which one to get for my camera.  Any specifics I should get??? I want something that will give that nice natural look with out harsh shadows and or wash outs.

This picture is of Hunter's, Mother-Son dance at his school in kindergarten. This night was a BIG night for all of us, because it was our first dance together at his school, and while we were at the dance back home was our entire family gathering.  We had a private family dinner at our house the weekend Mark and I got married.  The following night we had the dinner rehearsal and then Sunday the wedding.

I thought about a picture captions, but then I thought of one on my own and loved it. HA! HA!

"Oh What A Night" .......

But Hunter and I do have our little song between us... its "Up to the Moon" by Kim Hill.  I have always loved that song and we sing it together.  That was our song to dance together at the wedding.

Look how long his hair was.  This was the time period he wanted to grow his long "hockey" player hair, because he liked for it to poke out of his helmet.  Sigh!!! Finally, I couldn't bare to look at it another day and right before he wedding I had my friend Lisa take him and get it cut. They ended up cutting it WAY TOO SHORT, although it looked great.

Hunter was on the phone crying to me, and then with all the stress of the wedding, I felt guilty I made him cut his hair, because he really didn't want cut it, and I was nervous about him during the wedding and wanted him to remember the wedding a fun time, and not be angry and blame the wedding and stuff for his haircut.  So I am at the mall, Hunter calls me crying on the phone about how short his hair was and then I start crying.  The only time I had a breakdown that whole weeding weekend.

He ended up having a great time at wedding, and never thought about his hair cut again. Although he did lose a tooth at the wedding and everyone gave him money for it, so he went home with ching-ching in his pants!!!  Lucky boy!

Symphony™ featuring SureLatch™ All-In-One Car Seat, North Bay

We need one for this beautiful little thing...... TODAY, NOW....more like YESTERDAY, we needed it! And crazy enough Evenflo is giving one away on February 20th.  So head on over to MomDots site and check out all the details.

PS:  In case I do not win, does anyone have a carseat that they no longer need?  Willing to give or sale it for less than the stores charge?  Let me know, I really, really do need a carseat RIGHT NOW!!! IF... IF I do win, and someone gave me one in the mean time. If you do not want it back, I will do something really fun with it, helping another mom in need.  "PAY IT FORWARD" style!!

'Butterfly'

What does it mean to be "safe" and or just plain picky...... in my book when talking about carseats for my little offspring's --- there is no difference in the two.  Call it picky, but I call it safety-picky.  Okay not really, I just now made that word up, but I do have priority to be about TOP SAFETY when buying anything for my kids.

Well, MomDot announced that Evenflo, is giving away a Symphony Carseat. On their site they tell why they love this brand of carseats

"MomDot likes that its a name we trust and our families grow with, that the seat is stylish, safe, and functional, and comes in a variety of patterns and colors to our own taste. Because who said safe has to be ugly? Just this past Sunday, this seat was featured on the national show Fox and Friends and today, featured on MomDot!"  -MomDot

I have to agree with them for all the above, but when browsing over the Evenflo's website on installing this carseat, I raised my eye brows and said "this is exactly what my husband needs".  Folks you were not here with me watching my husband taking almost an hour or so to install the carseat in our car for our drive to Marco Island over Christmas.  Uh, yea and I also will not repeat some of the verbiage (is that even a word?) I heard spewing out that day, as sweat ran down in arms, his face and dripped onto the seats of my car.

This says you latch it onto the child safety latch first and then all you have to do is push the seat back into place until it is fitted tightly.  WOW!!!!  Considering this is a much needed carseat, I think Mark will be one happy hubby to see how easy it is to install.

I like this one, and although I have yet to use one of their carseats, I have known people that have and loved it. I think they make fabulous products, and use their products often.  My friends and family circle are big advocates to buying high end things when it relates to safety. Things we can use until our kids our grow them, and then feel confident to lend them on to others and then don't even stop there. If and when it comes back around to us needed it again, we feel confident that it is still just as safe for our new addition, no matter how many years its been, and will use it again!!!!  When you can say and do that with an item, that company should smile with pride on their amazing product.

I searched online today for carseats and I have a Babies R Us date with my BFF Lisa, who is due with her 3rd child in 11 days now.  I am searching out a carseat, but now I may have to wait until I see if I win this one first.  Seriously, how cool would that be to win THIS!!!
