Another prayer request PLEASE.....

One of my BFFs from high school just posted this prayer request. Her cousin just found out that her daughter may have a serious blood disorder, and her case appears to be very serious.  Click my friends blog, to keep updated.  Please pray for her and her family right now as they are at the hospital waiting on test results!  Thank you.

Today is a special day, Our Anniversary! I thought about posting something more mushy, but to save you all from puking on your screens and embarrassing my husband, I decided to hold myself back. You are welcome! 

However, since it is my blog and my anniversary, I get to have a little fun and get to be a little cheesy romantic here.  

These words below will look familiar to my husband and maybe put a little smile on his face.  What he may not know is that I feel exactly the same way!  I love you, honey!

Isn't that a beautiful image? I cry, smile and stare in awe over it.  To sit here in first class, front row and witness Gods beautiful writing in our lives.  A marriage that hasn't always been easy, but is getting easier every day.  A marriage that we thought could have ended, still standing on solid ground. Instead of fighting with each other, we now fight for each other. Some say that a bond, such as marriage, should not take a lot of work and effort.  I disagree, because ALL good and rewarding things in life take A LOT of work. And as we look back someday, we will be the ones to smile with how hard we worked and fought, realizing WE MADE IT. How rewarding that feeling will be, how pleasing it will be to God, and what an example to our children and grandchildren and generations after that. 

Thank you for not giving up on me, us and our family!

See You Soon, Cora! (It's 1:00 PM) I'm in Tears!

Dear Father: 

I want to stop and take this moment out of my day, to give my heart and mind in prayer to you for this dear family.  Lord, although this is a joyful time for Cora, Lord, it is the most painful time for her parents.  I can not imagine this moment, Lord, and it breaks my heart to allow my mind to go there and experience such a time of sadness as this for these parents.  

Please, please, please...comfort Cora's parents and family.  Assure them how happy she is and healthy and pain free.  Hold them close to you, Lord, and let them know that you love them more than ever today.  

This family is hurting, as much as they want to celebrate this little angels beautiful life here with them, they are grieving in the most unimaginable way.  To lose a child; what is more painful that that here on earth?

No matter what the pollsters, pundits, and prognosticators claim, no one can accurately predict all that is going to happen in the next year, let alone the next few days or weeks. Our best forecasts are just educated guesses.

Change is not only increasing in speed and intensity, but also in unpredictability. How can anyone succeed when the future is so uncertain?

The Bible suggests three timeless principles for facing an uncertain future:

1. Set goals according to God’s direction. It’s foolish to make plans without first consulting God. He’s the only one who does know the future – and he’s eager to guide you through it.

The Bible says, “We may make our plans, but God has the last word” (Proverbs 16:1 GNT). In other words, planning without praying is presumption. Start by praying, “God, what do you want me to do in 2009?”

2. Live one day at a time. While you can plan for tomorrow, you can’t live it until it arrives. Most people spend so much time regretting the past and worrying about the future, they have no time to enjoy today!

John Lennon once wrote, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” Decide to make the most of each moment this year. Jesus said, “Don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time” (Matthew 6:34 LB).

3. Don’t procrastinate. Do it now! “Don’t boast about what you’re going to do tomorrow, for you don’t know what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1).

Procrastinating is a subtle trap. It wastes today by postponing things until tomorrow. You promise yourself that you’ll do it “one of these days.” But “one of these days” is usually “none of these days.”
