Not Me, Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

But.... before you head over there, see what I so did not do this week. Did not!!!

I did not put my daughter in the door hanging swing, only to look over 5 minutes later to see her bouncing herself to sleep. While I did not think it was cute and funny, did not run over and grab my camera to snap these photos, instead of taking her out and putting her in her bed. I did not almost pee my pants when I made a noise that startled her, making her jump up with her eyes still shut, only to to have her bounce a couple of times, putting herself back to sleep. I did not do that so I do not know how I got these pictures in this collage.

I did not beat my husband 2 straight nights in Yahtzee, either..... and I am not bragging about it here in my Not Me, Monday post.  Because, I am more humble and have more class to behave in such immature childish ways.  I mean come on, who would ever need to pridefully brag about beating their spouse in any board game to the world on her blog?  Not me!?

PS: I never in a million years would allow my baby girl to find one of her old cheerios on the floor and watch as she put it in her mouth to eat. Not me!!

Procrastination?

Oh what would I do without my Blackberry?  It has text messaging, emailing and a CAMERA! It's the best!  Although, I would like to one day trade it in for the "Storm", blackberry touch phone, but that's another day and another post.  For now my blackberry ROCKS, and always comes to back me up for photos I want to capture when I do not have my other cameras on me.

This first picture and thus the title of my post 'Procrastination' is my honey's car sitting on the entrance ramp to the turnpike southbound, heading to work Wednesday morning.

He has been getting up early for the last few weeks, and when I say early I mean like 4:30 AM early.  He has decided he wants to get up early in the morning to do the work that he would normally do in the evenings taking up his time with his family.  Getting up this early in the morning allows him to get in his devotional reading, his work charts ready for the days work and even a early workout in.  The family is sleeping sound, so he isn't doing this stuff on his time with the family.  I am proud of him.  He has said for so long he would do this, but it isn't easy getting up that early in the morning, and me not being a morning person, I don't wish this on anyone.  HA!  However, honey LIKES it.  It's his choice and he said he really feels like he gets off to a better day doing things like this, because it allows him to be the first one in to the office, misses all the traffic in the mornings, and then comes home and spends 3 hours with all of us before we are off to bed again.

Well, maybe off to a better start most of the time.....

Wednesday, I get a call as I am about to head out the door to take Hunter to school.  I hear honey tell me on the phone that he is sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck and he may need me to come and get him.

Getting to the point..... (hold on you impatient ones).

Honey was told several weeks ago, and I say several weeks ago, because it doesn't sound as bad as a few months ago, to get his belts changed on his car.  He is 150 mile away from having 100,000 miles on his car. In which the belts have to be replaced at this time.  The guy at BMW told him this at his last service. Telling him "don't wait to your next service to get the belts replaced or you will be sitting on the side of the road." Honey assured the guy that he would get them done, being the responsible person he appears to be.

What do you think happened?

Yes, the belt popped this morning on his way to work causing him to be stranded on the side of the road EXACTLY as the BMW guy told him.  My honey I think was blushing a little bit this morning, when he had to call the guy at BMW for a tow and admitted he was right. He had PROCRASTINATED doing this for so long.

Honey sent me a text saying "Lesson in procrastination today." I like that word.... when I go weeks or months asking him to do something around the house, I will use this word as his reminder of something that could have been done a long time ago and cost less if only he didn't procrastinate. HA!

As I am sitting there on the side of the road with Morgan and honey, he says to me "yea, take a picture of this and post that on your blog." Knowing he was joking.... a light bulb went off and I thought "you know I will do just that." I get out the cell phone, walk around the back of my car in pj's, Ugg boots and all, just to snap this picture here of my honey on the side of the road.

Anytime he is refusing to "JUST DO IT" when it comes to anything in the future, I will point him back to this post and this image.

This is a lesson to be learn by many of us, not just by honey.  Honey gets to be used for an example today.  I love you, babe!

"Just Do It" - Don't Procrastinate!!!
Now on to something much cuter and more colorful to look at.  Morgan was watching Hunter practice last Tuesday night in baseball.  She had this look on her of so much excitement and awe, and it being so cold out, she was all bundled up.  She looked so cute with all those teeth shining and her little hoodie on. I love my baby girl. I love my baby boy.  I love my honey. And I LOVE MY CELL PHONE CAMERA, for capturing so many images I love to look back on and share.

Photo Albums

I have been trying to get caught up on photo books.  I only have a couple more to finish up on like Morgan's birth photo book and our Christmas/Family Cruise album.  Then I am caught up.  This next year, I am hoping to start something new and more organized.  Like putting my annual books together as the pictures come in.

Example:  Instead of having a book about this for Hunter, or that about Morgan and or our family went here....

I will have ONE BOOK for ALL for the year.

So once I finished these other two books, I will start our Family 2009 Album.

Yea, ME!!!

The reason I am so proud of this book of Hunter, is because other than this really crappy scrapbook I tried doing when he was little, but looks more like the work of a child in kindergarten.  I do not have any albums of Hunter either after he turned 2 years of age up to 8 years of age.  So this book has a little bit of EVERYTHING from all ages under 8 years.  His dad even sent a bunch of photos of Hunter that he had so we combined our Hunter photos and made one album.

Now I will have albums of my children for every year and age from here on out.

Hunter "The Bunter"

Okay so here are some baseball pictures finally.  I took these Wednesday night.  I was very excited to shoot Wednesday nights game, in hopes to capture the colors that I very much enjoy in the evening games. The red sand just seems to pop a little brighter. The white powder lines seem more white and brighter...and the grass even appears to come of a bit greener. I love it when I am sitting there in the flesh, admiring all the colors.

This is where I get frustrated and call myself a "non-professional" photographer.  So many have emailed or left comments recently, saying wonderful things about my photography and going the extra mile to call me "PROFESSIONAL".  However, when I take images as I did Wednesday night, and see that 99.9 % of them are blurry, because I don't know how to adjust my camera properly for that type of setting.  Dark out, with field lights, with no flash, with action and capture it all in crisp clear photos.  Ugh!!  I don't care what anyone says, I just don't feel that I am yet a "professional".  I guess being a professional (in my book) is knowing how to do all things photography. I don't know.

Anyways, another post another day...

Here are some pictures of my HANDSOME boy, Hunter.  He is playing on the 8U Travel League.  His team is really good and there is a big difference just watching them play from last year to this year.  They really are looking like baseball players out there on that field.

Tuesday night, before this game, Hunter was taught for the first time how to bunt.  He was so excited he learned how to "bunt".  Hoping his coach would say the 'secret code of words' that allowed him to bunt during Wednesday nights game....

Our team got so far ahead and the boys were just nailing their hits left and right (and center)...HA! Hunter got up to bat and he heard the 'secret code of words' and he bunted his very first bunt.

Let's just say the boy in all seriousness, bunted the perfect bunt.  The coaches were so thrilled and excited.  Telling Hunter that it was 'a bunt right out of text book' and 'that the pros can't even bunt like that.'  He made his run to first base sending the other two on to the their next base.  It was a great play and I had a very proud 'bunter' on my hands.

Sorry the images are no crisp....but at least I have pictures of Hunter-Bunter in action!~

This is one of the nicest little league fields I have scene.
#15 during warm-ups

He loves having his hitting gloves in his back pocket

This is Hunter trying to pull off the "my game face is on - look"...
..but we aren't fooled.

Not Hunter...just some random shots I was taking.

Hunter at bat!

So there you go.... GO STARS!!!

PS:  The coach has asked that I come out and take some shots of the entire team during the next game (day game) so he can post them on the teams site.  So I am sure I will have plenty more of where these came from to post later on.

P.S.P.S. (is that even such a thing?) Ahem.  Remember that wedding I said that I turned down because I feel I am not experienced enough to perform such a task?  Well, the girl found a photographer, something has happened to that photographer and she has called me back.  She has assured me she likes my work, understands it would be my first and says that she isn't worried and would like to have me and give me a chance.  So it looks as though I will be shooting my first wedding on March 29th, as in a couple of weeks.  Please pray for me...Ill remind you once we get closer to that date.
