Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life's been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Getting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last week's mail to read
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord
Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of Your grace
I seen then, in my small one's face
That you have blessed me
All the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile....

I too saw your comment on another blog and see we have a couple of things in common... namely a young boy playing hockey and a photographer in the family which happens to be my husband. Thanks for the prayer post today as it really rings true for me!
Sometimes, that prayer is just enough to get me though the day.

Me too! Me too! Oh, the prayer is right on. So is this whole finding e-friends through blogs. I've been richly blessed by you and a few others and thank God and ask Him to bless the blog because it's helped me get through some things as a mom. Wink, wink. :-)
